I Try To Keep Things Simple And Practical In Regards To These Types Of Questions:
1. We become fat by improper eating habits. The sad news is that almost all overweight people are nutrient starved!
2. Toxins accumulate in our fat cells including heavy metals etc.
3. Toxins leak from our stomach into our body from what is called the "Leaky Gut Syndrome".
4. As we lose weight those toxins stored in our fat cells are eliminated from our bodies.
5. As we learn how and begin to eat health micro-nutrients our "Leaky Gut Syndrome" subsides and toxins are no longer leaking into our body.
So to sum it up do we lose toxins when we lose weight? Yes.
Does losing weight = detoxification? Yes if we have learned not to overeat, plus learn what micro-nutrients we should be eating.
Does losing weight = detoxification? No, if we are still eating unhealthy, fatty foods high in salt and sugar, and low in nutrients.
